Google celebrates the 25th anniversary of fullerene {buckyball) today on 4th of september with rotating molecular ball structure.
it was discovered in 1985 .Fullerenes (C60) in a cloud of cosmic dust surrounding a distant star. in simple words it may be the molecule our universe is made up of.
A fullerene is any molecule composed entirely of carbon, in the form of a hollow sphere, ellipsoid, or tube. Spherical fullerenes are also called buckyballs, and cylindrical ones are called carbon nanotubes or buckytubes. Fullerenes are similar in structure to graphite
